37 days clean of cocaine!

37 days clean of cocaine & drink today after abusing it for 3 years.
Noticed I have a lot of spare money (that has been going on much better things who knew a carpet washer could bring so much happiness 😂) and worked out I have saved a whooping £1,050 in just 37 days alone which makes me feel a bit sick I didn’t relieze just how bad it was money wise.

Just wanted to post incase anyone else who was like me searching online for reasons to quit finds this.
It was worth doing a million times over, I just had to be ready to quit myself… we do recover. Grin

well done. 🎂here is to many years of sobriety. a day at a time

Well done but if you were spending a grand a month on coke I think it’s early days to consider yourself recovered. Are you getting proper support to maintain this?

paulhollywoodshairgel · 01/02/2026 10:40

Good for you that’s an amazing achievement. I’d put aside all the money you’re saving and plan something lovely for yourself ❤️

Well done! Are you in an NA or AA group? That support from the others will be invaluable as you go on.

HopSpringsEternal · 01/02/2026 10:55

Absolutely brilliant. Well.done! I watched a friend go through this. It took them about two years to get properly better, but they are in such a good place.
Just remember that you're dopamine and endorphin receptors have been damaged and until they are replaced you won't get to a place of full happiness. The way they thought about it was every day that they didn't have any another receptor what mend itself so they were getting happier and happier. Go on you!

Wow, that is a massive achievement. I hope you're getting lots of support OP. Take all the help you can get. Well done on 37 days of determination.

Amazing!!! 👏 👏 👏 so proud of you OP. Don’t take note of any snide replies - yes of course it’s going to be a long road ahead, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t celebrate every milestone, because it IS a big deal! Congrats!

I only used two days a week, about £200 a week which actually in the grand schemes isn’t much (2 gram). No support, I just did it off my own back I view it as I will always be in recovery I won’t be recovered, unless I’m a granny don’t think cocaine will be very appealing in my 70s. Blush

Thanks all ❤️ I will be back one day with years under my belt, but today I woke up saw those numbers on my sober app and actually felt happy with myself. Going to take a while to feel true happiness I know ive damaged my brain, but theres been a few fleeting moments Ive actually smiled properly.

Well done! It's hard. I know. (I was a hardcore addict (heroin, coke, crack, morphine, alcohol) for nearly ten years and I'm 8 years clean this year.)
Keep going! You're worth it Grin
