I desperately need to hear some positive stories of people who have overcome an addiction especially alcohol?
I'm on the support group thread and they are wonderful but it's all so hopeless.
I'm hoping my DH is going to be acceptor in pattern next week and can't even begin to believe it will make a difference.

My partner has recovered from a cocaine addiction - it’s only been 2 years so obviously I can’t vouch for long term but he’s doing well and from what he says has no urges anymore. He consciously chooses not to have any alcohol though.

It can be done but he has to look himself in the eye and want it.
Four years sober and i would have given up everything for a drink .

Congratulations that's great .
Yes I wonder does he have the will to do it.
