What vape to help heavy smoker?

My mums a really heavy smoker has been for 50 years, I would absolutely love her to stop and she would to but just doesn’t know where to start, I’ve suggested trying a vape and she’s open to it. I know she wouldn’t want the flavoured fruity ones, has anyone any recommendations what which type/brand/ strength I should get her?

You can buy tobacco flavour ones, Elf Bar are an ok brand of disposable ones.

Worth buying a few of those online to see how you get on then if they’re ok I would recommend buying a proper reusable one.

You can also go into a vape shop and ask.

Take her to a vape shop. They are great at advising new vapers.

Failing that - if you’re sure she wouldn’t want a fruity flavoured one then pick up a menthol disposable in 20mg and see how she gets on. I wouldn’t waste any time looking for tobacco flavour. It doesn’t taste of tobacco. Everyone I know who gave up smoking by vaping did so with either menthol or fruit flavours.

edited to say not me though. I gave up with the help of caramel and lemon pie flavours 🤣

Yes to be fair the tobacco flavours taste more like werthers originals but at least they aren’t fruity!

@Motherofdragons20 in my area, if you join the local nhs smoking cessation scheme you get a free vape and drop-in support …perhaps it’s worth seeing what’s available in your area, as a bit of extra help to stop might work for her?

I moved to vaping from smoking. I started on Juul which hits the back of your throat like a cig does. Menthol as I smoked menthol, but they do a tobacco flavour too.
I actually use elf bar now as doesn't hurt my throat (!) And when I've had a cig it's the throat bit I hate. Who knew?!!!

I use a blu pen (from Tesco or Co op) and cirro tobacco 12mg from the same counter. I've tried so many tapes over the years and the blue pen is by far the best for me. The cirro tobacco is the nicest oil I've tried and doesn't have a strong tobacco taste.

The pen you just change the tops every week rather than messing around with coils etc

I'd also look at juul- they have a tobacco flavour but also menthols and less sweet/ fruity ones. It is hard at first IME- vapes hit different than fags and you cough more on the vapes at first
