I’ve been taking OTC sulpedine max and Nurofen plus for about 5 years on and off with periods of complete abstinence for a year or so. I’m now completely clean, went cold turkey and luckily hasn’t had any withdrawal symptoms. I’ve always been very careful to not exceed daily doses, never took more than 8 paracetamol in one day, with the ibuprofen I would never take more than 6 tablets a day. But I’m scared the long term use of these has done long lasting damage to my kidneys. Has anyone had these complications from the use of these medications?
