Quit smoking and can't stop eating

Have been a smoker for around 15 years. Quite for 18 months 4 years ago when pregnant and breast feeding. Then when I went back to work I started again but only in work hours. Managed to quit again and have managed 2 weeks so far, I've gone onto a vape with aim to end up on nicotine free vape and then nothing at all.

Doing really well, but I can't stop eating. I feel constantly hungry. When I smoke I can easily go without food, if I was hungry I could have a cigarette and the hunger would pass. Now nothing seems to be filling me up and I just keep going until I feel sick.

Any advice to make me stop, really don't want to start smoking again, but I feel if smoking doesn't kill me then obesity will.

Mints. Every time I had cigarette or food craving I'd pop a mint, one after the other if needed.

Part of the addiction to smoking isn't just the chemical aspect but also the leaned physical motion of smoking.

I gained loads of weight after I quit. Went back to smoking. Stopped for pregnancy and breastfeeding. But sadly now vaping, will stop vaping after Easter and will go back to my mints.

I might give it a go, or gum, I wonder if that will work.

Think gum can work. But it's to do with the physical aspect of bringing your hand to your mouth. That habit is apparently harder to break than the chemical aspect.

Wish I can remember where I read it. It may have been Allen Carr.
