Just wanted to see if there was anything I could do to help my body recover

Speak to a doctor and get your bloods done.

That's the best way to start I think.

Well done on your recovery!!

All the B vitamins. But Marmite and a good multivitamin should be good for now.

Teasie123 · 08/01/2024 00:01

In rehab, the only supplement they gave us was B complex. Alcohol depletes it.

Congratulations, and try not to worry about your test results! If there are any problems, you're now in a good position to fix them 🤗🏆

I am terrified of what they LL show

I worked in treatment (so long ago it was called rehab) and people experienced everything from being completely fine, through the massive average who had a couple of things that just being in recovery would sort out, to people with serious health concerns they'd covered with their drug of choice. Importantly, that feeling of terror can go either way. You can either see it as a learning moment, sit with it, recognise it as an important step in learning and growing, or it can be a trigger you don't cope well with.

These are the moments that build a healthy recovery.

Also Marmite.

😂😂😂, ok, I LL try the flamin marmite! Anything that'll help. 🤭🤭🤭. Thanks sm.x

All the best!!

Best of luck, and have a big plate of liver. Cooked in butter. No side dishes.

Liver is an excellent source of a huge range of vitamins and minerals, butter provides fat to help absorb the fat soluble ones. No side dishes, because vegatbles and grains can impede uptake of nutrients.

Once a day until you can't face it anymore, and then twice a week.

Don't start any until after the blood test it will give false test results.

Ya know, mammy, God rest her, used to cook liver and onions for our dinner all the time. Maybe I LL try it again.🤔🤔🤔
