Rehab: how do you go

Please could someone explain how you get into rehab if you aren't wealthy, don't have savings etc? What is the professional route/who makes that decision / can you go down an NHS route.

If you are admitted to hospital for something else they will detox you so they can treat you. Afterwards you will be referred to a community support agency.

This is, based on a relatives experience, the only way of getting treatment without waiting months or paying ££££

If you go to a drugs service and they think you're deemed an appropriate candidate they will put you forward and you won't cover the costs but , from experience working in this field, you need to be using a few times daily and be motivated enough to quit. Even if they don't deem you suitable they can rehabilitate in the community. They're the best place to go --- hope this helps and good luck! X

Plenty of people get sober through NA and AA without going into rehab.
