Are scabs around the nose a sign of coke abuse?

I'm pretty certain that my DH is addicted to cocaine. He, of course, denies this.

His nose is constantly covered in scabs especially around the nostrils. Is this a sign of abuse (there are other symptoms too)? Or could it be totally unrelated?

Thanks for any insight.

Come on, OP, you shouldn't be living with this man any more. Five hours in the bathroom? He doesn't work, then?

He has his own business & very reliable employees. He can step up to the mark as and when needed but doesn't go to work much at all (mainly phone calls). So finances not affected (yet) but I'm pretty sure that other people find him a bit odd at times.

I used to get upset by his behaviour especially when he was abusive & paranoid but that element has pretty much gone now. He maintains he is depressed but I think that is him coming down and/or a result of the coke abuse.

I agree that only he can want to change but it doesn't appear to be the case now.

I get cold sores around my nose and have never touched cocaine.

I have been around coke a lot when younger and no, I wouldn't say this is a classic sign of using.

Coke is inhaled quite deep into the nose so whilst nosebleeds could be a sign, I wouldn't say scabbing around the nose is.
