I made a huge decision today to stop giving DD who's drug addiction is out of control anymore of our hard earned cash, I hate drugs and her behaviour has destroyed our family, prostitution, drug debts etc.
i am not letting her drug fuelled lifestyle destroy me anymore, time to fight back, tia gor reading x

Can you get any real life support for yourself, through AA type support groups for families- I don't know what the drug ones are called. You sound very strong, but I'm guessing this is a hard road for you and some support may be much needed.

My friends DD is an addict , she has gone from giving her money , to just buying her a weekly food shop, to now just buying her the odd pouch of tobacco . It's so hard , I truly sympathise.

I used to do that for my dd until she started selling the shopping to fund her habit.

I really feel for youFlowers.

I go to Families Anonymous meetings, it's a 12 step programme for relatives or friends of somebody with a drug problem. By listening and sharing with other members, I've learned that I'm Powerless over drugs and I need to focus on MY recovery, in the early days I realised that I was enabling my son by buying him food, electricity etc, as it meant he then had money to buy drugs. I have managed to let my son go with love. Good luck

Families anon is fab for my parents who have dealt with my brother’s 20 year heroin addiction. He went into BAC rehab last Monday for the first time. It’s now or never xxx
