I'm embarrased to say my beauty routine is a bit of a hit & miss - tend to slap on mosturiser when I remember . I'm 36 next week and really need to start paying close attention to my skin but with so much on the market I don't know where to start? do i need to get anti-ageing stuff? Are more expensive creams necessarily better? Please help

Good ol' OLAY total effects SPF 15. You can buy it anywhere for £10-£15.

maxpower · 09/07/2010 22:01

olay definitely

TheBreastmilksOnMe · 09/07/2010 22:03

Oil of Olay SPF 15 here too or their tinted moisturiser with SPF 15.

Casmama · 09/07/2010 22:04

L'Oreal Dermogenesis - about £15

ByTheSea · 09/07/2010 22:04

I also use Olay. When I used to have more money, I used much more expensive stuff, but have been happy with Olay. Nobody thinks my skin looks near the 46 years old that it really is.

ILovePonyo · 09/07/2010 22:06

I use day cream from Aldi - cheapo! But really nice on the skin and good for every day wear.
If you want to treat yourself Lush facecreams are lovely, full of nice ingrediants and hopefully someone in the shop should help you choose which one is best for you.
Also Holland and Barratt do a range called Dr Organic (i think) and their manuka honey face cream is lovely, also very thick so good for winter.

Lush, Skins Shangri La.

BrittanyBeers · 09/07/2010 22:12

I wash with Bio Oil, so don't need it.

TheNextMrsDepp · 09/07/2010 22:13

Olay Total Effects here too! Smells divine, soaks in, doesn't feel greasy.

BikeRunSki · 09/07/2010 22:16

Origins "Have a Nice Day". I'll be 40 in November, and was mistaken for 28 recently .Also about £30. but lasts for months....

brimfull · 09/07/2010 22:16

I ma using Bobbi Brown face cream atm, it's a primer and moisturiser in one. I also use BB eye cream .

Have recently changed from clarins that caused spots on me.

Olay 3point thingy is nice as well.

Alibobster · 09/07/2010 23:53

Thanks everyone - Olay seems to be getting a good shout out so I'll give that a try first
