I've got the dress but need to dress it up!

I'm going to a wedding early next month and want to look gorgeous. I have a lovely dress that has already done good service at two weddings and I'm bringing it out for this one too (three completely different sets of freinds so the only person who will have seen it before is dh), It's lovely, it's black but has a lot of embroidery and beading on it that gives it colour and a bit of a vintagey feel. It's quite clingy and is sleeveless with a lowish front and back.

As I'm not buying a whole new outfit I feel justified in spending some money on accessories. What I need are:

  • a pair of shoes that are a bit vintagey in feel - something with a bit of a heel but not too much. Wouldn't mind something in a colour.

  • Something to keep me warm! A jacket would look silly but what else can I wear? The dress is quite flimsy material so something like a pashmina wouldn't look right.

Any ideas, style goddesses?

How about a nice big scarf/wrap type thing. Thinner than a pashmina but just enough to put round your shoulders.
Monsoon have some lovely stuff in lovely colours !

I've seen chiffon wraps about in the shops which are lovely. The dress sounds gorgeous btw!
