This feature states that cos. must refund teh postage costs ( delivery not returns) if you send back goods within 7 days.

I assume this is because the goods are available in the directory and they are not necessarily available to view- though some of them are in shops.

I wonder how this applies to Boden, etc who have only 2 shops- can we ask for arefund on the basis that we have not seen the clothes?

if you return the whole order from next you do not pay for delivery afaik

I've done so in the past.

If you have a multiple order and keep one thing and return others then you pay the p and p .. seems fair to me ?

EldonAve · 09/07/2010 08:03

annoying that it doesn't clarify if it applies when you only return part of the order

topsi · 09/07/2010 08:05

I am returning a dress to Bowden then re ordering in another size I will demand my postage back on the first dress. They better pay up!

purplepeony · 09/07/2010 08:17

But if you return Next things to the store, are you then entitled to a refund? I am going to ask this morning.

I know they USED to refund if you returned all items, but more recently I have had to swallow the £3.95 postage even if I returned all.

I think that if you keep part of the order then you should pay for delivery otherwise you would always add an extra item to send back so you could get your delivery refunded.

MrsC2010 · 09/07/2010 13:24

I've never paid for a Next return? The courier just comes and collects?

MrsC2010 · 09/07/2010 13:25

Oh, I just re-read OP. Ignore me.

Some companies get around this rule by offering pre-paid returns...so be careful.

The aren't responsible for paying the costs to return the item, so if you use Boden's pre-paid return sticker, you WILL NOT be refunded your postage.

EldonAve · 09/07/2010 22:01

but we are talking about the original delivery charges

squashedfrogs · 09/07/2010 22:17

This is interesting as I often buy clothes in sales online and a lot of companies won't give free returns for sale products so you end up paying for delivery AND return.

dexter73 · 09/07/2010 22:24

I imagine they will stop offering free returns to make up for having to refund the delivery charge.

I hate paying delivery and return charges. Luckily I'm near the Boden shop in Hanger Green so I'm going there this morning with my returns. I have Next stuff delivered to the shop and return items to the shop as well. Often I try it on in the shop and don't even take it home!
