Now I am a fool who is very easily parted with money where clothes are concerned, and I like good quality, but in a fit of strange throwing caution to the wind today, I purchased about six T-shirts from Sainsbury's, on the basis that if they looked like dishrags when I tried them on I would take them back.

They are beautiful. Fairtrade cotton, not flimsy or twisty, nicely shaped, not too long or short in the body, with a nice deep scoop or curved V neckline, lovely colours, quite heavyweight cotton, and .....

£3.50 each!!!! Who cares if they wash up like crap? I'll wear them for the summer and chuck'em!

I have a ls T from Sainsbury's - one of the first Fairtrade ones they did about 4 years ago - have worn it and worn it and it is still in great shape and not at all faded. Would have bought many more sinc, but they have all seemed to be just a bit too short recently. But will return tomorow, enouraged by FNelson

I will also return encouraged by the FNelson, and I am FNelson. Will get more in every colour, to put away for future. Didn't manage to get a white one - need about ten of those.
