Has anyone ordered from artigiano? If so, what was quality like and were the sizes generous? Have come across their sales catalogue by accident but, sorry, cannot link direct. www.artigiano.co.uk. Thanks in advance!

uumm, my mum buys from them. She's 62yrs....

tis owned by one of the big clothing multinationals so quality should be fine, just make sure you are the right age before you buy..

Thanks Maryqueenof chocs - love the name! - was looking at work clothes (tailored trews, crisp white shirts, jersy dress) and was impressed with their size range as I am no size 12!!

Try em then...I bet quality is lovely, link to your choices and I will be brutal if they are too old for you..

PS - how old are you!!??

My mum uses them and lives close to their sale shop. Quality is fab, sizes pretty normal (not generous, not tight). Some of the basics (scoop neck tees, plian jersey dresses) are good, ageless classics though.

Hmm, don't want to put you off, but have bought from them and from Spirito di Artigaiano, the 'plus size' arm of same company.

Have to say, I find Spirito's things generally very frumpy and 'old' - and I'm close in age to maryqueenofchoc's Mum ... I think their design, never very on trend, has taken a nose-dive since they were taken over a few years ago. They seem to assume large women want to wear tents.

Artigiano is a bit better - though a lot of their stuff tends to the 'conservative', there are some pieces which are OK as basics/ classics to mix and match with more fashion-informed stuff as/if you like.

On quality, I've honestly found them variable. Some things have been OK - eg I've had one jersey wrap dress that has worn well and garnered compliments - in other cases, I've had problems (eg, bad 'pilling' of knitwear) you shouldn't really expect at their prices. The feedback on their reviews suggests I'm not alone on this. Sizing I've found can also be variable, though usually quite generous.

If you fancy something in the sale, may be worth at least trying. As someone who's sent many things back, have found their returns service efficient!

Thank you for your replies.
polyhymnia I think you are right about trying some sale items. They do have some good reductions eg. shirt reduced from £49.00 to £25.00.
I would do a link Mary but dont know how!!
