Hello

Have just bought this dress off ebay (am going to the races and am very skint!)

cgi.ebay.co.uk/Kushi-Long-Summer-Maxi-Dress-10-12-14-16-18-/190412981856?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Women_s_Clo thing&var=&hash=item721687fbaf

I've got a black shrug but it makes me look a bit wintery and dull. Am going to brave it and buy a coloured one - what colour though? cream? blue? pink?

Also, was going to get a fascinator - should my fascinator be same colour as my shrug or just black?

god, i hate getting dressed up...(will like wearing dress on hols though!)

(p.s - am BIG girl so bit paranoid about looking like a ship in full sail!)

Oh, I like that! I'd pick out the blue or pink from the dress myself. Do you have it in your possession? What's it like - quality etc?

it's lovely, am very pleased with it. It's really long, well I'm 5'9 and it reaches the ground!
It's quite sort of cheap and thin but ideal for beach, everyday wear!

I can't afford a proper, heavier dress though so this is gonna have to do.

I'd go with the blue, definitely. They have little shrug type cardis in M&S at the moment in a range of colours for £12 or two for £18. I got a black and a white one for hols but they had pinks and blues too.

I'll try to find it.

I agree it's lovely, I would go with a cerise pink shrug (or wrap) and maybe a matching clutch? And I would go for a black facinator, a coloured one might be a bit too much.

I like the wedgewood blue on that last one which you have to scroll along to see but maybe the paler blue suits the dress better. Glad to be of help.
