buying make up from America

My sister's best friend has just started dating an air steward who has offered to pick us some make up/perfume at the weekend when he is in NYC.
I am thinking of asking for some mac but was wondering if it's really going to be worth it, will I really save money?

yes - it is around half the price! I would.

Is there any thing in particular worth asking for?
Don't want to be greedy but it's been ages since i had some decent make up or perfume.
I would love a new mascara if anyone could recommend
one.

Ive just discovered Smashbox and its only a third of the price there. The box of different pallette eyeliners are great as is the foundation primer.

bare escentuals is also much much cheaper if you like mineral makeup

I just love all the cheap 'drugstore' stuff.

I'm like a kid in a sweetie shop over there!

But in all honesty if I have friends going stateside I just make sure they bring me back a large bottle of Tylenol PM.

Sonia Kashuk cosmetics are sold in Target drugstores.
I was waiting for them to be sold over here after alot of hype and they arrived briefly in Space NK last year for literally 3x the price if not more.
The brushes are said to be very good too.
