Anyone help me with finding good secondhand clothes shops in London/East Anglia?

Having recently left a second hand shop armed with a lovely Jaegar coat, MaxMara frock and change from fifty quid I was wondering if anyone is able to suggest a similar spot in London or East Anglia?
Not expensive retro or vintage stuff. I haven't got the waist for it! Just good quality, modern second hand pieces.
Thanks

St Johns Wood High Street in North London has a good selection.

Well done for your finds. If you are ever in sunny Southend go to the Haven's charity shop on Alexandra Rd (just off the beach end of the High St) really well supported local charity shop with great pieces and the cheapest in the area too. Nicely set out clean, non smelly shop with a small but tasteful wedding section, plus good bric a brack and electricals. Usually it can be relied upon to have a smattering of Monsoon, Hobbs and Warehouse in with others. On principle I avoid the Oxfam at the top end of the high st as they were charging £60 for a coat!
