Venturing into the world of Expensive Skincare??

Having just ran out of my moisturiser I thought I might treat myself and spend more than I usually do on new day and night creams. I usually buy No7 which is usually about £15 a pot, I think. Thought about Clarins as many of my friends swear by it, but it is verily pricey so would only want it if it was extra special. any thoughts??

See if you can get some samples of various types to see if they suit you before you splash out on a big/expensive pot.

How old are you?
I use Clarins Super Restorative day cream which is £48 but wonderful- I am 50.

Not keen on Clarins myself - makes my skin itch. If I'm going completely bare faced I use Dr Haushka rose day cream (£20 for a tube but you hardly need any). If I am wearing a bit of make up I use a Bobbi Brown tinted moisurizer with SPF25 which is about £35 for a jar. Many products in one - bargain!

I'm 40. Samples is a good idea. Not heard of Dr Haushka.

dermalogica is another good make to try, and they always have a good stock of samples. I quite like chanel myself. but always try stuff before if you're going to shell out - it's such an individual thing - what might work miracles on someone else might be rubbish for you
