I want these Gabor shoes and I don't care if that makes me an old frump.

these

I know most of you fashionistas wouldn't touch Gabor with a pension-book but these are ok aren't they? I mean, we're talking about a bit of leather and cork after all. I've had some Gabor shoes before and they are as "comfy" as you'd imagine. Plus really good quality and last forever. Do these scream old lady? I think if they had another label inside you'd like them...

They aren't as horrible as some of their offerings . What are you going to wear them with?

muddleduck · 05/07/2010 10:14

I have some lovely gabor sandals.

Those ones are fine, but not as nice as mine

Lilymaid · 05/07/2010 10:33

I have a lot of Gabor shoes as I am an old lady and have wide feet but have found that they don't last forever - at least the more recent offerings don't. Heels drop off, leather comes away from sole ... you name it.
But while they last they are comfy and some aren't too horrendous.

AngryPixie · 05/07/2010 19:56

oh dear sensible shoes

FolornHope · 05/07/2010 20:13

mate of mine got some as she has bunionswide feet and loves em

SoLongAsItsHealthy · 05/07/2010 20:24

Are they really bad? I've never been very good with shoes - I see women all the time wearing what look to me to be instruments of torture, especially in the summer, and I just don't get it... saw a girl today with pink heels on that had straps tied up halfway up her leg - surely this cannot be comfortable?

But, seriously, can you tell me what's wrong with those shoes?

I like 'em.

brimfull · 05/07/2010 21:05

I like them -they look comfy and give a bit of height.
Bit £££ though.

AngryPixie · 05/07/2010 21:53

Each to their own and perhaps your name speaks volumes, I think these are healthy & comfortable and yes shoes should be comfortable, but to me they are too practical & sensible and somewhat frumpy.

What would you wear them with?

nickschick · 05/07/2010 21:55

angry pixie shoes

AngryPixie · 05/07/2010 22:08

if only I had slimmer ankles

AngryPixie · 05/07/2010 22:10

but these bring me joy

nickschick · 05/07/2010 22:14

ohh i do like those ......they are my sorta shoe a bit alice in wonderlandy

AngryPixie · 05/07/2010 23:03

Oh goody nickschick, I love them, a bit quirky not slutty but shoes to make you smile. OP if your shoes make you smile, you must have them.

valiumSingleton · 05/07/2010 23:33

If I like a shoe I like it. I don't let the label tell me what to like.

They're nice.

mathanxiety · 05/07/2010 23:55

I like them, but I'd like them more in black or some more zippy colour.
