DH and I are going to a work friends wedding evening 'do' on Friday and I have not got a clue what to wear. It's been years since we went to just the evening bit of a wedding and I have not got a clue how dressed up I should be.

Am hoping that you lovely ladies can give me some advice......

Dashing to work now (hence the hurried post) but will be back later in hope of some ideas.

Maybe go for glam but not formal. Buy something you really love and would want to wear again, rather than a party dress just for that occasion. But tell us a bit more about you - height, body shape, weight, colouring and what sort of clothes you feel good in, or feel are 'you.'

It depends how posh the do is. We went to an evening wedding do a few weeks ago and people were dressed in anything from suits/fancy dresses to shorts, jeans, skirts.
