Here. Convince me it is something my dearly departed granny would wear, stop me from hitting the buy button, please. Hit me with reality ladies.....

oh god it's really not nice, you know. Imagine it in a neutral beige and you'll see what I mean.

step away from the computer...

Fimbo · 03/07/2010 23:32

Yes I have a mental picture of it in beige, it really is not nice at all is it???

Thank you!

in which colour?
do you have big norks?

i quite like it tbh...sorry not to be of any help

olderandwider · 03/07/2010 23:34

I like it. Seriously. Skinny jeans, boots/wellies. V.useful come autumn.

Fimbo · 03/07/2010 23:37

I like the red.

Now see, I thought you were all going to come on and say it was hideous. Now I am all in a dither again. I have seen it in rl and tried it on yonks ago.

Hideous.

Looks like the sort of coat Princess Ann would wear teamed with a headscarf.

Horsey-(not so)chic - is that the look you're aiming for ?

Prosecco · 03/07/2010 23:39

Slap

Its 'orrible!

and........................

Its the middle of summer - you'll have gone off it by the time you can wear it

Fimbo · 03/07/2010 23:40

Gah

sharbiebowtiesarecool · 03/07/2010 23:41

I had one like this in junior school

quite like it tho

Ronaldinhio · 03/07/2010 23:43

i still like it..I know it's all supposed to be aviator jackets for autumn winter but I'd look like biggles and feel as though i were in fancy dress

i was terribly horsey in my youth so this may be a form of dementia

TheCrackFox · 03/07/2010 23:44

I quite like it. It is very similar to a Barbour jacket all the cool mums (not me) at the school were wearing last Winter.

Barbour jacket

Heifer · 03/07/2010 23:45

I can't decide if it looks sillier on the model (read coat) with the belt knotted around her waiste and the naffola carrying of the handbag wag style.

or

It in beige, belted and top bottom done up...

Go and spend your money elsewhere would be my advice

NorbertDentressangle · 03/07/2010 23:46

Now that Barbour jacket would look OK if not in that quilted fabric.

It should be in the matt, waxed cotton

Fimbo · 03/07/2010 23:47

Oh I have tried that Barbour Jacket on too, it was beyond hideous. If you are size 8 yes but any bigger then no.

Ronaldinhio · 03/07/2010 23:47

rather fab
swoon

NorbertDentressangle · 03/07/2010 23:52

arf

TheCrackFox · 03/07/2010 23:55

All the cool mums seem to be size 8/10, blonde hair, skinny jeans uggs. But that was last years uniform, I await to see what they will unfurl for this Autumn.

Fimbo · 03/07/2010 23:56

LOL Ronaldinio.

OMG Norbert - pmsl

aviator jackets for the school run

i might get one of those see through pac a mac things that are vaguely fetish ish and totally wrong but shockingly right over a pair of pyjamas

Ronaldinhio · 04/07/2010 00:07

this sort of idea

FiveOrangePips · 04/07/2010 00:27

If you are painfully thin it will be okay.

FGM · 04/07/2010 08:02
