keratin blowdry - anyone had one?

Hi,

I'm thinking about getting a keratin blowdry as my hair while relatively straight looks very 'big' as it thick and just seems to puff out. I have straightners but thought that this blowdry might be a time saver and better solution to using straightners all the time.

I can't find too much info on the treatment however. Like do they have to make you have completely straight flat hair or can they do it to have a bit of style on the ends? Is it good for your hair? Do they actually work and how easy does it make life?

I'd love to hear if anyone has had one done!

Thx

If you search by "permanent blowdry" in this forum, there was a thread about it recently

Hi, my hairdresser was doing a special deal in March with the Keratin blow dry, I paid £50 instead of £80.

My hair is shoulder length and really only has a kink in it, fairly thick. With the Keratin it made blow drying take half the time as hair seemed to hold whatever style I was doing with it. Like you my hair would sometimes puff out but have not this with the Keratin, your hair when washed is not comletely straight but as I said if you blow dry it right it holds the style well. My hair is still styling well 3 months later.

Hi, my hairdresser is in Essex if that is any good to you?

notjustapuppymum · 03/07/2010 19:47

Hmmmm...possibly as could combine it with a shopping trip

Could I have website address or phone number please?

esor · 04/07/2010 09:02

Notjustapuppymum - Sorry if I was not clear, my hairdresser is self-employed and works from home or comes to my house. She lives in Hornchurch/Upminster area, if this is still of interest to you contact me and I will let you have her mobile number, obviuously do not want to post on net, thanks

I had one and it wasn't as expensive as I thought it was going to be. I think I was the first person the guy had done it to! I have washed it 3 times now. It's still straighter, and smoother and less thick. It's not absolutely poker straight mind you, but it is a lot better. But I love it. I'm trying not to wash my hair more than once every five days though, as I want it to last.

I'd like the number too please! I'm in North Essex/Suffolk border. Perhaps we could hold regional keratin blow-dry parties so she can do three or four at a time, to make it worth her travelling!
