Not sure about the Mulberry shop but it is worth getting there early as it gets packed. I might be going on Sunday too!

Ring and ask what they have-they are very helpful. In fact, all the outlets are, you can ring them all, ask if they have an Alexa, and then they will post out to you. Saves you the drive!

really? think i will still go, but would be good to actually know if they have them in

Is worth ringing all the stores and asking. Is def. worth the trip-is a 2 hr drive for me to, and go about 2-3 time s a year-but if you are only going for an Alexa, you might be v. sad.

Lots of other nice shops though, and very civilised.

nancydrewrocks · 01/07/2010 21:36

I fancied an Alexa but they didn't have any on that particular day. Other days may well be different though I think stock varies drastically day to day.

I was there the other day,it is very high end now, they have shipped out adidas in favour of roberto cavalli. To me alot of the designer stuff is hideous but if you like bling then I am sure you will find something you like. Mulberry shop is lovely with lots of bags and it's a lovely setting for a day out. In my experience there are only small sizes in alot o the shops ,I am a normal size 8 but designer is smaller to start with and lots of size zero etc . Monsoon looked good if you like thy sort of thing( I don't) but I had a quick look and saw women with armfuls of stuff so must be fairly good.

Personally I dont like it that much. There are a few decent shops I like but not many. I suppose it depends on what you like. I have recently moved 21/2 hours away and would not drive that far to go back there.

What is fab though is the entertainment value. It is full of people who obviously follow the "it cost loads so must look nice rule" without realising their very expensive image is the cause of great amusement or just screams Fashion Victim!
