BARGAINS OR QUALITY?!

Hello all,
I am new here to mumsnet and would like to know where you like to shop?
Are you willing to spend more for higher quality, traditionality and style in baby and children's clothing?
Or do you love bargains?
Do you make the most of sales? Especially when they are selling luxury or designer brands?
What are your favourite colours for kid's clothing?
Melanie.

With 3 kids, cheap wins!

I hunt charity shops as I tend to be able to pick up a lot of Next/John Rocha/United Colours of Benneton stuff for just a couple of pounds and the stuff looks barely worn.

I do love Next stuff, and I think the prices are getting more and more reasonable now.

I also love Tesco though! Cheap and stuff washes and lasts well.

I think it depends on what your income is like. I would shop Boden/White Co/Monsoon all the time if I could afford it, but I cant.

Thank you. You have been most helpful DanJARMouse. I would love 3 kids - 2 boys and 1 girl. What do you have?
Did you buy any keepsakes when your babies were born from luxury labels?

How does everybody like to shop for babywear?

Melanie.

I tend to do a mix, tend to try and buy Boden stuff with discounts and in the sale and also shop at Next and Primark for other bits.

OP is melanieosinski your real name? if it is i suggest you may like to change it as it is slightly unusual and googling may reveal your address and other details

MelanieOsinski · 03/07/2010 15:04

Thank you louloulouise. Sounds like a great idea.

littleducks - Thank you for your concern and I may just change it but did check google and nothing on there about me. There are a few Melanie Osinski's surprisingly enough.

Thank you

Do you all like Kaloo toys and the brand Kissy Kissy? I love Kissy Kissy. I found some great bits for my little cousin Daniel, he's 18 months

summery · 03/07/2010 15:09

Never heard of Kissy Kissy brand, Kaloo OK but overpriced.

Is this market research in disguise?
