help - maternity dresses for summer, can't find any!

In this heat (am 7 months pg) I need something cooler to wear than 1 pair of jeans, 1 pair of combats, and 1 long denim skirt. I was really hoping to buy two or three loose cotton floaty dresses, particularly as maxi-dresses seem very popular this season. I've been to Dorothy Perkins, Mamas and Papas, Mothercare, Peacocks and looked online at ASOS, Debenhams, Marks and Spencers etc. The problem is most shops seem to sell a small selection of short dresses (absolutely can't wear short dress as have got horrible pg rash all over legs), and a couple of black long-sleeved jersey dresses. Saw a nice Summery print dress in ASOS but it is 100% viscose, likewise relatively nice one in Mothercare but 100% polyester. Where can I go to get something that will be cool and comfy to wear? Can't afford Isabella Oliver prices...

Also, am going to a wedding in August when I'll be 8 months pg, whats a girl to wear for this? Really resent spending too much as won't have opportunity to wear it again... help anyone?

Next have a deep purple maxi dress that isn't maternity but I think might well do at 7 months.

I've looked in H&M, but they only have a small selection of short dresses in my local store, will have a look if they do online. I'm a 14 (I think!). Will look at JoJo sale now, thanks for all of this, am getting desperate now...

not maternity, but french connection have a sale on at the moment, and lots of the dresses are maxi or empire. I bought a couple this weekend. I'm nearly 6 months pg and they've still got some growing room.

Thanks Tethersend, both look good! Am cautious about buying non-maternity as my bump is so huge, but I guess I can always try things on in the shop, hadn't really thought about the 'growing room' in non-mat dresses... thanks!

Hi happynappies, I was in your position (a bit earlier in the year) last year and wore a couple of dresses I bought at Topshop maternity a lot.

In fact I'm still wearing one of them this summer! Their collection is different this year but there are a couple of floaty pieces.

For what its worth I'm wearing also still wearing a few maternity pieces from H&M, even though I didn't keep the weight -- I don't think you won't necessarily be able to use it later, depends on the cut.
