I am a tad shy to post this but here we go...

I will have a newborn soon (next week) and I'm dreaming of post maternity clothes to pass the time
I'm thinking Autumn and Winter trends. Does anyone know what they are, colours and styles?
I dont want to buy clothes now and look very dated come autumn- have a budget.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Google confused me!
I am little shy fashionwise but coming out of my shell. I tend to stick to classical pieces in navy, shades of grey but I would like some colour and no idea of what styles will be in.
I need jeans (skinnies will they be in?)and trousers and knitwear mainly.

I am mid 20's size 10/12 pre pregnancy, hourglass with Currently 34F norks.
Please Help me wise ladies! There must be life after the ' I swallowed a beach ball' look.

hi
that is a great way to pass the time while at this waiting stage....i did that too and made out long lists of all i wanted to buy! I would advise not to splash out on too much yet though.... you may not lose weight as quickly as you hope or your shape may change...basically, you don't really know what size/shape you'll be come Autumn. Also, are you planning to BF? If so, you'll need suitable tops for that...but again, I'd say don't buy too many yet as if BF doesn't work out for you, you'll be stuck with them all. SOrry if this sounds obvious, but I'm just saying what came to mind when I read your post. Better to make lists of what you like now and buy after baby is born.

Know what you mean about being shy fashionwise, I am too but, like you, am starting to come out of my shell a bit and experiemnting with colour. Bought a green coat for last winter, have some bright pink and orange stuff this summer and feel fab in it. Have been strict about what I buy since having DD, only buy what I really love and makes me feel good in and have ditched a lot of old clothes that did nothing for me.

Colour.... the boden preview for autumn 2010 is a good place to start. they have some lovely stuff on there, imo. mistral also do some good colourful stuff and white stuff.

Hope that helps. Enjoy browsing and make the most of your time now to do it!

Thank you for replying those links are great. That boden dress and tights on the opening preview page- I have to have them! Its odd not knowing what shape I'll be, how much weight I will of lost. I think I'll just sit on my money and list what I want to buy and hope I can wear them. I am so impatient clotheswise. P.S I also bought a green coat last winter and I love it.

I heard that this A/W colours will be black, grey and camel with a splash of red and that the Celine collection will be a big inspiration for the High Street.
