What's everyone wearing in the heat?

Am hoping to brave my new maxi dress today, but can't shake the feeling of feeling a bit of a plonker in strapless things. I don't quite know why, it's a bit 'Brit abroad' for everyday in my mind. But it is beautiful and I'm determined not to let it languish at the back of my wardrobe. I normally play it safe in a calf length skirt and fitted t shirt. I can't even bring myself to wear spaghetti straps (I'm not alone on that one though, am I cyb ) even though I do have good arms. Is it just that the sun actually being out is so alien that we don't quite know how to dress appropriately? Far more fashion crimes are committed in summer, no?

I am seeing more and more maxis around on all sorts of women - pregnant, middle aged, tall, short, thin, fat. Tis the fashion - surrender to it.
Also, I think maxis and full sunshine look great - but they will look odd in the rain and drizzle, so Wear Your Maxi While You Can!

i wear sundresses, shorts, thin cotton tops, or vest tops with a light shirt on top

I can do neither bare arms or maxi dresses, you are not alone.

I personally really dislike the maxi dress. It would feel like walking around wearing a sheet. Totally impractical and no support underneath! I like to feel kind of upholstered.

I am wearing fwiw a pair of jeans, stretchy fitted vest with bust support and a long sleeved t shirt. And DM sandals

I can't wait for autumn.

Flight - you must be very hot.

Am in and out of garden in shorts and strappy top.

May get bikini on later.

There were many maxis being worn yesterday in town with varying degrees of success.

I am fine, we're indoors and the house is pretty cool...high ceilings!

Might go out in a bit in which case I will put on a [gulp] frock. But I need to go and look at a new motorbike tonight so will need to change back into jeans!

How inconvenient is this weather?
