black wedge sandals

Just returned the Fly Ednas that I ordered online as they were black patent- which I hadn't anticipated and the back strap wasn't staying on very well.

I'm desperately seeking some nice black leather wedges, open toe would be good and I need the height to balance out the fact that I'm short with huge norks...(tho someone may well explain that that's such a wrong look!!!)

Any suggestions much appreciated. Will spend up to about £80 (if I must!)

I bought some v recently from Clarks (I am actually wearing them in a pic on my profile at the mo). Will try and link to them on the Clarks site for you, if any use?

spub · 26/06/2010 16:46

ooh, I tried some on in there today - are they the ones with the buckle on the front?

They buckle on the side. hang on - will try and find.

janeite · 26/06/2010 16:53

These They are v comfortable (am useless with heels).

spub · 26/06/2010 17:35

Thanks, Janeite,
I think those would come too far up at the front of my foot but really appreciate the link.
I think I'm after something with a V style front - lower cut with maybe a wrap over?
I may be imagining a pair that don't exist!!!

I've got these

spub · 26/06/2010 17:43

Ingrid,
I like those! Are they as comfy as the reviews say?

I know they're hush puppies, but how about

or these

or these

I've tried the second pair on, and they're REALLY comfy

IzziesMummy · 26/06/2010 17:49

oops - sorry - first link should be these

spub · 26/06/2010 17:51

Cyb,
I like those, too but I tried on the patent fly ednas this morning and i think that any glossy or shiny shoes make my corpse coloured legs look even more postmortemy. I am doing the holiday skin thing but even with that on I look like a morgue escapee!

Izziesmummy, like the first one, thanks for the suggestions and I have no problem with Hush Puppies!!

These?

BikeRunSki · 26/06/2010 23:21

I got these in brown couple of weeks ago, and absolutely love them, and I really am not a heels girl. The leather is incredibly soft and does not cut in or rub at all.

BikeRunSki · 26/06/2010 23:22

.... PS they come in black too, and I think they are a bargain!

IngridFletcher · 28/06/2010 15:39

Spub - they are comfyish but then I have highly sensitive feet!
