What can I do with my crazy hair?

I've got really thick, long dark hair which can't decide if its straight or curly. I don't normally do anything with it, blow drying and straightening takes too long and clips fall out as its too thick and heavy. My ds is at the hair pulling stage so I usually just tie it back but I'm bored with it now! I'm open to suggestions, any ideas about what I can do with my mad hair? Its gone really dry and frizzy in this heat which doesn't help!

I think I have similar hair and I HATE it. I was going to have one of those Brazilian things done - a straightening/defrizzing method but not so severe as the Japanese one. For massively stupid reasons I couldn't get to my appointment this week but have rebooked for next. I'll let you know how it goes. Fingers crossed.

My hair is long and wavy, although not too thick. I shower in the evening and tuck it in a hair net to dry overnight .

Hairdryers frizz it up and the hairnet seems to make it look normal and smooth. Don't use products either.

Try adapting the curly girl method if your hair is trying to be wavy / curly.

I would wash with lo 'poo' shampoo, paraben and silicon free conditioner, comb while in shower. Blot with towel, use a little. boots curl cream and a clear spray gel such as VO5 and either leave to dry or use a diffuser - do not touch hair lots to stop frizziness and never brush.

I've found this really helps mine.

To find out more detail search curly girl method above.

Have you tried having long layers put in?
My hair is very thick and frizzy, but if I have layers it curls up really nicely with the help of some Boots Curl Creme. The bonus being the curl creme is less than £2.

I don't really know how to describe it, its dead straight at the front and curly at the back but with some straight hair over the curls if that makes sense? Thanks for your suggestions, I'm really intrigued about the brazilian blow dry
