Has anybody seen one of these recently? Have hunted around in RL and online, but cannot find anything that does not have TV characters, animals, inane meaningless scrawls ..... help! (needed for sports day next Wednesday too)

I had the same problem last week. Ended up with a pack of 2 from Asda (second one was white with red polka dots). They were in the girls section, but are very plain (no frills or tucks) so the red one could be worn by your DS.

I think it was £3 for the two.

blushingm · 23/06/2010 14:34

next do a pack of 4 plain ones

moonmother · 23/06/2010 14:38

Asda do red polo shirts- mine have worn one of them instead in an emergency.

cleanandclothed · 23/06/2010 14:40

Try this?

bran · 23/06/2010 14:41

Rainbow Babies. I'm not sure if you would get it by Wednesday though.

brimfull · 23/06/2010 14:42

sports day?
ds needs red one too

Cloudberries · 23/06/2010 14:51

Gap had them last year. Otherwise Asda or Tescos?

GBR · 23/06/2010 14:53

Gosh, thanks everybody! That's great, will follow up on those links and try our local Asda too.

M&S do them in their school uniform PE section. Packs of 3 for £4.

I buy them for the ds's to wear out of school. Lovely colour and bargainous price.

PassMeTheKleenex · 23/06/2010 21:17

I just want to second the frustration at trying to find anything plain. DS is in a play and needed a plain beige T to decorate. Sheesh - I may as well have been looking for the lucky golden ticket for Willy Wonka's chocolate factory.

After my extensive trawl round the shops, I think only Zara and H&M did plain Ts. Can't remember if any red...

So, not much help, but glad to get that off my chest

tibni · 23/06/2010 21:19

Millets have packs of plain t-shirts reduced at the moment.

racingheart · 23/06/2010 22:27

Our school sell them for a few pence (less than £2)
I have last year's, aged 7 if you want it.

sparkle1977 · 24/06/2010 10:46

I got a 3 pack in Sainsburys for my DS a while back and one of them is just plain red.

Have you got a red one you can turn inside out ?

Job done

One of those things I learnt on these boards some time ago.

PandaG · 24/06/2010 18:12

failing any of those, try your local t-shirt printing place - was the only real shop I could get one from, didn't want to pay delivery for a cheap t-shirt for sports day (wonders why DC couldn't have chosen to be in blue house - much easier!)

CaptainNancy · 25/06/2010 19:43

sainsburys often have plain t shirts- usually in packs of 3 different colours- that wash well, and don't go out of shape.

berri · 25/06/2010 20:29

Got one in Next the other day.
