Have been totally indulgent and bought myself a pair of fitflops today. However, have only been wearing them round the house for the past hour and now my lower back hurts! Is this part of the getting used to them phase? I don't normally have any back problems!

do you normally walk much or take any exercise? I have had my first pair for about a month and I didnt even get any pain in my calves or thighs or back( I have a very bad back) but I walk for miles every day and do quite alot of exercise.
There was a disclaimer attached to mine saying something like don't wear them all day .I was quite dissapointed I didn't fell any pain , I guess I am about as toned as I am going to be

Power walking is my exercise of choice, so am reasonably fit! If no joy tomorrow will phone up the shop where I bought them (a specialist running/walking shop) and ask if this is normal! Bum did ache as well when I took them off, which I suppose you would expect...

I bought mine last week - no aches here.
Have to say I'm a bit miffed!!

Obviously I'm a sucker for advertising!

When I bought mine I was told by the assistant to build up the wear gradually as my back and legs would ache.

Cabatach · 22/06/2010 19:38

Thanks uggmum. Feel reassured now that my body is not falling apart!

I know how you feel MAJOR..I bought them for comfort as I walk alot and work on my feet in a VERY hot shop but I hoped for a little ache

ok have finally taken the plunge. Went for the Walkstar 3 as seemed more padded. Just wondering if the toe thing will "give" at all as not really used to it and don't want to get sore?

bishboschone · 18/07/2010 20:24

yes it will give..mine rubbed a bit for about a week.

I looked like my feet had been trashed for two weeks after i'd bought mine - plasters all over - esp big toes and 2nd toes - could not wear the flaming things without padding because the horrid toe posts hurt so much! but it's all much better now and i absolutely love them. didn't get back pain, no, but that might be because when not wearing my fitflops i live in my (now very shabby) MBTs. persevere and i am sure it will all sort itself out!

Surprisingly blister free. Still not used to toeposts but they don't appear to have irritated the skin.
