Are they as good as everyone says. Would they keep hair straight in hot humid country? Also can anyone recommend any shampoo/protection sprays that help keep it straight? Thanks

My GHDs are amazing .. had them 2 years now and love them.

Use Tony and Guy thermal protector spray. Not sure if they would keep hair straight re humidity sure someone else will come along soon!

Yes. They are. If mine blew up or broke I would shell out the £100, or whatever they are now, in an instant! I've had mine for 8 years and a) they're still going strong, b) they're brilliant and c) don't know what I'd do without them!

Only use them now for curling ironically!

You won't regret it - no others come close )

ps... yes, they do well in the heat - my hair goes massively frizzy in humidity but the GHDs totally sort it - apart from anything else, they're quick so you're not there for hours which obviously helps in hot weather!

Cheers Ruthy - you've convinced me! going to Mexico in September and can't bear the thought of curly hair for a fortnight! That may sound vain and trivial but hair is naturally very curly and really don't like it

Just to let you know that the only time my GHD's haven't worked brilliantly was in the US. I thought at the time that this was due their different voltage, but didn't really try to get to the bottom of this. They did still work, just not as well/didn't get as hot. That said, think they are so good that they are worth having anyway... HTH.
