hi all,
i was thinking of having a nice, small tattoo on my arm.
looked and saw very nice patterns on net.
but on papers of hair colourants it says it can give allergic reaction if you have tattoo.
i searched on net and saw some horror stories.
currently i dye my hair regularly every month and dont think that i will give up hair dyeing.
should i give up the idea of having a tattoo and be on the safe side?

I've got two tattoos and have my hair dyed every three weeks.

Not dead yet

Step away from the google.

Ditto the above. I have three tattoos, dye my hair every 7 weeks and I'm fine......

Your hairdresser should do a strand test first to find out if you'll react badly.

My sister currently has bright red hair. Last week it was purple. There is a pack of blue dye, in my kitchen belonging her, that she left here (probably so she can dye my bathroom blue and not my Dads. I shout less )

She is getting her 2nd tattoo next week.

I have many tattoos in many places and have been dying my hair for many many years. No bad reactions. One of my best girlfriends is a tattoo artist (so naturally covered in tattoos) and dyes hair very regularly and never a bad reaction.

I agree with larakitten have a strand test and you will no for sure.

patch test, then carry on. There's warnings out there against a lot of things...
