Please reassure me that although the hairdresser seems to have made my otherwise manic hair flat and lifeless, I will wash it and it WILL look lovely?

This always happens. I have thick but fine curly hair, and the hairdressers take one look at the curls and slather it with grease.

Then they can't work out, when they dry it, why it's stuck to my scalp, flat and limp as a centurion marathon runner.

It'll be fine.

My old hairdresser used to go so overboard with the straighteners it was ridiculous - I like a bit of fullness.
