Calling small people...On line Petite Ranges?! Can you suggest a few

Petite affair is too expensive, and not great imo

Principles petite no longer seems to exist (unless I just couldn't find it).

Next petite is just their usual boring clothes with an inch off the bottom.

Just discovered Precis but it's taking so long to load I thought I'd ask for more suggestions.

I'm five foot two but my shortness is in my top half so my legs aren't that short, it's my squat waist and dumpy torso that make it hard to wear dresses and coats. Trousers aren't too bad for me actually. Some petite ranges are even too short, and with heels it's not a big deal to get something shortened occasionally. But coats, jackets and dresses are harder......

Dorothy Perkins

Debenhams (including the designer ranges, or at least some of them)

M&S

Top Shop

I have the opposite problem, at 5ft 1 my legs are very often too short for petite clothes

Next have a good petite range...

Anne Brooks and Minuet are two brands I've bought via ebay, which seem to specialise in petite stuff. I'm just over the 5' mark, and size 8 - 10.

bishboschone · 21/06/2010 18:25

I am only 5ft size 8ish . I NEVER buy petite stuff. I find it too short everywhere. I always buy trousers in regular and get them shortened.
I buy from topshop and dorothy perkins sometimes as they do short leg which I think is 30 inside leg which is fine. I actually sometimes buy tall tops because I hate it when they are too short.

Maybe I am in denial

French clothes are generally cut for smaller women, you could try La Redoute?

pippop1 · 22/06/2010 21:23

M & Co and Sainsbury's do cheapish Petite clothes.
