Has anyone tried Philips Lumea?

Hi

Just wondering if anyone has tried the Philips Lumea ILP hair removal thing? It's quite pricey (£399) but if it's as good as the reviews it could be well worth it.

I'm very fair with dark hair which I think is the best combination for light pulse/laser hair removal.

So, has anyone tried it and, if so, what were the results like?

No I bought the Boots Smooth Skin about 8 weeks ago which does roughly the same thing, from the reviews I read the Smooth Skin is more powerful than the Philips Lumea and it is cheaper.

Haven't had wonderful results yet but mine is stubborn chin hairs. Pale skin and dark hair are the preferred combination for it.

I read some reviews comparing them both and was a bit put off by the gel with the Boots. You can't use the Philips one on the face and I do have some hairs that could do with a zapping so maybe the Boots one would be better. Hmmmm...

Why did the gel bother you ? You get a tube of it with the pack and I think it will last for ages.

More that I wondered if it was "icky"!

I was sent a free one but am the wrong colouring to use it I think (fair skin fair hair). Not allowed to give it away though which is a pain.

Oh no gel is fine, depends where you are lasering I suppose though. How do you get free things Rockbird ?

BelleDameSansMerci · 21/06/2010 21:47

Yes Rockbird how do you get things like that for free?!

If you want to "accidentally" leave it in a post box with my address attached to it, let me know

rookie - thanks for that. Think I might go for the Boots one then.
