from Monsoon?

Do you think its too dressy for daytime? (Have Monsoon gift card burning hole in my pocket!)

Was thinking denim jacket and flipflops/gladiator sandals?

yeah I think that would look nice, I never shop in monsoon but didnt I read that Monsoon sale starts soon? Its expensive for a cotton dress.

Fruitysunshine · 16/06/2010 20:51

I think it's lovely - but I am a huge fan of Monsoon!

MooMinCow · 16/06/2010 20:58

I know bish - £75 for a cotton dress does seem expensive, but even synthetic ones seem to go for about the £40-50 point now and I simply don't do synthetic in hot weather - not natural!

Could I buy it, hold onto it for a month (apparently sale starts round 13th July), return it, get refund then pay sale price?

I think technically you can buy something , as long as its inside the 28 days , take it back and rebuy it there and then. YOu have to have some front though.

I do seem to recall if you have a monsoon account you get sale insurance and if it goes in the sale in 30 days you get the differnce back. It may be worth getting an account , buying it then when it goes on the sale pay off the balance with your vouchers...worth asking?

MooMinCow · 16/06/2010 21:05

Sale insurance??? God what will those retailers think of next!

(I have lots of front btw - am a firm believer in if you don't ask, you don't get!)

It's a gorgeous dress, I say go for it. I've taken things back if they've gone in the sale the week after, why not? You just need to make sure it's a different sales assistant when you buy it at the sale price straight afterwards otherwise you get funny looks.

bishboschone · 16/06/2010 21:12

just seen on another thread ..13th july sale starts

MooMinCow · 16/06/2010 21:16

Yes bish just saw that also... should I chance it till then? Knowing my luck they'll have all sold out in my size!

Was a perfect fit too - makes boobs look fab, can wear proper bra underneath, suits my dark skin, not too voluminous in hip area and not flouncy (can't stand ruffles, frills etc on me)

(Sounds like I've made my decision then )

dexter73 · 16/06/2010 21:49

I love that dress! Buy it now!!

MooMinCow · 18/06/2010 12:09

Well, I did it ladies! Dress purchased and safely home

Feel justified in doing so as was only 1 left and assistant said they had flown out (but I guess that means I'll bump into someone else wearing it as I saunter down our high street!)
