When I had longer hair I straightened it everyday = like straw

I have since had the rats tails cut off and now look after it (heat protection spray etc) and straighten 3/4 times per week= glossy, shiny locks

Every day and it's in good condition, considering it's really fine and I also colour it every four weeks.

It doesn't need much straightening though, just a quick swipe over.

I can dry and straighten my hair in less than ten minutes.

cheeryface · 16/06/2010 16:03

less han 10 minutes ! takes me ages and still looks crap lol

It's because my hair is so fine.

DD's takes far longer as she has really thick hair.

bibbitybobbityhat · 16/06/2010 17:12

Never once.

I have naturally poker straight hair.

Is this helpful?

I straighten mine everyday and its in pretty good condition.

Just a quick once over does it, a spritz of some shine spray and I look like a goddess

IamBatman · 17/06/2010 11:12

I straighten it after I've washed it, so about onnce evey couple of days. I have my hair dyed blond also and have it cut every 6 weeks and its in good condition.I use a protective serum on it.Why do you think yours is crap? Mine used to be but then I only used to get my hair cut about twice a year!

SagacityNell · 17/06/2010 11:13

Every other day. It's dyed (blonde) too. never use any kind of spray and its in good condition.

LimaCharlie · 17/06/2010 12:28

Every day and its coloured but cos its cut every 4 weeks I never have any tatty ends

mono3 · 17/06/2010 12:34

Every day for straightening, coloured evrey 4 weeks and in ok condition but I do have to look after it. I use a deep conditioner instead of normal conditioner at every wash and leave on as long as I can. If I don't do that my hair gets so dry. I find it straightens quicker and easier when in better condition and obviously looks better too! I have very thick and curly hair

ive had to start straighteneing mine as i got it cut into a bob and it looks a mess otherwise. its only a couple of weeks since i had it done but i think its looking a little ...fried. i have used protecter but im wondering if i should grow it back as it didnt need straightening then or whether to keep the bob but have to fry it a bit !

I wash and straighten my hair about every 5-6 days. When I used serum, I had to wash it every 2-3 days, but I use much fewer products now, and can get away with it for longer.

I use clarifying shampoo, and only use heat protection spray/cream and then Charles Worthington gloss spray.

It takes me AGES to straighten my hair (about an hour - it's only in a bob) as it's so thick, which is why I do it so little.
