I'm on my TENTH session and going back to complain about the results tomorrow!
Having been told it takes between four and six treatments I'm fed up and annoyed.

Friends have had it done but been more successful.
I think it all depends on which laser is used (there seem to be loads of different ones).

wineismysaviour · 14/06/2010 17:57

Which have you used? How much is each session?

Yes but it works best if you have dark hair and white skin - not if you have darker skin...

wineismysaviour · 14/06/2010 18:22

I have olive skin and dark hair? Don't want to spend the money if its a waste of time?

Any good salons in SouthWest?

I'm asian - medium brown skin and black hair. I had Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) about 7 years ago. I would say fairly effective in reducing hair although not complete removal. Worked best on arms and lower legs (esp shins). Also marked reduction under arms and at bikini line. Yes I spent ££££ on it, but worth it I think

Don't know about SouthWest but there is a really good clinic in London called Medicetics that is Doctor led (as opposed to most that are beauty or nurse led).

badkitty · 14/06/2010 20:55

I had it (pale skin and dark hair though) and it is one of the best things I ever did! I went to a clinic called Bare Necessities, they have several in London, not sure if the chain is anywhere else.

The Isolase laser at Harley Medical Group. Different clinics in the group use different lasers though.
£440 for six sessions if you buy the package but more if you pay for each session as you go.

I have pale skin and dark hair so am not impressed.

I am going for my patch test on Saturday for Bikini and underarms - it is £650 for both and if it works will have lower legs done too.

The clinic in Ingatestone use something called Soprano which it says is painless and new!!!

Will let you guys know how it goes.
