hobbittoes · 11/06/2010 11:41

I always feel really guilty - but I can't help myself

DinahRod · 11/06/2010 11:43

Yep, I save them up or only order if it free del.

FranSanDisco · 11/06/2010 11:44

Oh yes another saver here. Go on you know you want to - post it!!!

purplepeony · 11/06/2010 14:05

of course- why not?

rumpledwriter · 11/06/2010 14:07

I am in the US so don't know if they do this there, but once I returned something from the sale in with some stuff I'd gotten free shipping on, and they charged me for the shipping for that one item. When I called, they took the charge off, but they said they do it by the order number, so, apparently, even if you use a free shipping label, they'll charge you if that order didn't have free shipping on it. But maybe they don't do it in the UK?

apple99 · 11/06/2010 14:08

Yep, have never paid return postage to Boden, I have a stash of return labels and I feel no guilt when using them!

BodenBoy · 11/06/2010 15:46

Rumpledwriter - I have no idea who told you that but that isnt right. Any 'sale' items (not full price discounted) will never have any promotion or free postage/shipping nor will they have free returns. Because the item has already been reduced so heavily (in some cases upto 60%) this is the reason why you wouldn't of received the delivery. Now this is something people in the UK have that the US market doesn't. In the UK you can save your returns labels and use them on anything you send back, If a customer in the US gets a returns label but the offer on the order DOESNT have free returns the return shipping cost is taken from the refund....Imagine what would happen if we did that in the UK.....p.s. NO i am not Johnny. (mumsnet sent me an email saying i was telling you good people too much info)

hobbittoes · 11/06/2010 17:19

Were bodenboy and rumpledwriter not saying the same thing there

Anyway, feel and no longer with that news, and glad I didn't open a whole can o' worms with my question!!!.............you never know who is watching!

purplepeony · 11/06/2010 17:22

BB- it's wouldn't have not wouldn't of received...
tut tut- learn your grammar.

Why would MN tell you not to tell us too much?

purplepeony · 11/06/2010 17:24

BB- do you really work for Boden? Funny that you don't know your boss' name is spelled Johnnie!

hobbittoes · 11/06/2010 17:31

ooh purple do you think he's an imposter?

should I go back to feeling ....or just !

OP posts:
BodenBoy · 11/06/2010 17:50

Johnny, johnnie you say pot-a-toe i say potartoe (phonetic spelling) whats the difference? i do sincerely apologise for my lack of Grammar but it is not upto the same level as those who went to Oxford or Cambridge. I do work at Boden serving as the lowely Customer Service Advisor answering all your calls .I went to college for 1 year after school before entering the world of work so i missed out on the opportunity to further my education as i come from a very working class background and was taught that work experience speak louder than a piece of paper.

on purpose i have completely screwed up the layout of this paragraph to see if anyone wants to nit pick. so feel free to tear apart my appaling writing skills.

BodenBoy · 11/06/2010 17:53

As much as i would love to go into details of the email i received i can not so i do apologise for that. All i can and will say is Mumsnet is trying to keep me from saying 'too' much

purplepeony · 11/06/2010 18:42

I didn't go to Oxbridge but I went to a grammar school [ grin]

I think he is an imposter who is pretending to be uneducated when really he prob has a 1st class degree in summat posh and went to a posh skool.

rumpledwriter · 12/06/2010 02:53

BB, we were indeed saying the same thing. But honestly, I thought it was silly to charge me $7 to return an item when Boden had already paid for the return shipping on the whole package. I understand the principle, but in reality, I thought it was kind of dumb. Also, now that I think of it, I think I did that more than oncereturned sale items with other items that had free shippingbut I only got charged once.
