How can I lighten my hair ?

I've dyed my hair over many many years, going from dark to light and back again. Have now decided I've had enough of being dark brown and would like to go back to my really light brown natural colour.

Can anyone suggest how I can do this without a visit to the hairdressers?

When the dark brown dye starts to fade, what colour does it go to?

Are you roots showing any signs of grey- if not, then let your natural hair colour grow back and maybe get a non-permanent dye which is as near to your natural shade as possible to put on until your natural hair has grown through.
