wedding panic. desperately need help.

just read information sheet for wedding on saturday. the ceremony dress code is "dark suit/cutaway suit" (they are not native english speakers & the wedding is overseas, i suspect this means morning suit), & the reception dress code is "black tie". am i supposed to get changed in between?! what am i supposed to wear to a black tie wedding reception ON A BOAT?! i was planning on wearing either a pale pink/nude-ish coloured reiss dress, or a brown/floral silk zara dress. both are knee length. erm...?

& what is DH supposed to wear? he was going to wear his kilt - he's suggested he still wears his kilt but switches out a normal tie for a bow tie for the evening...

we leave on friday, i could possibly go shopping tomorrow, i have no money.

If he's Scottish then definitely wear the kilt. National dress gets you out of all sorts of things because you can say 'this is the equivalent of balck tie (or whatever) in Scotland'.

I agree. The kilt gets you out of the whole what-on-earth-do-they-mean question.

I'd go with your Reiss dress and glam up as much as possible with accessories.

i do have an evening gown thing from a ball i went to - kind of fish tail floor length style, but it's black. fits like a dream though. thoughts? think i might just pack every single possible thing i could wear & decide on the day - after a a glass or two of champagne.

Go with a nude reiss dress and pair with this for no other reason than I like it.
