Boots has good quality, decent clothes. Reasonable cost. You'll need a bigger store to get choice for 6 yr old. Their pyjamas are lovely.

thanks doubleexpresso they look really great and you can order on line but they only go up to age 5-6, Do the sizes come up big?

Matalan - some of their stuff is a bit tarty, but I've also bought several twin packs of plain girls t-shirts cheaply.

My DD is 7 and she wears Boots 5-6 things. she's about average size for a Y2. HTH.

Next have nice t-shirts, alhough at 6 she'll go in the 5-16 catagory so some might be a bit rock. They're generally pretty untarty though, and actually not too spenny. I always get sets of plain (a little boring though) tshirts from peacocks.

H&M do loads of plain tshirts, as well as lots with patterns, princesses etc. Usually the designs are quite sweet. They have a lot of Hello Kitty at the moment. Around £2.50-£6.99 depending on design. Also they do packs of two plain colours.

Asda do some sweet stuff and washes very well.
