not red, methinks. Matching pink might be a bit trying too hard. Clashing pinks might be interesting - or just wrong. What about a very bright blue? Or navy? Or a bronzy colour - not gold but darker tobacco-ish but metallic iyswim.
Have you looked at Nine West, LK Bennett and Hobbs - they can be interesting?
