I want "something" to go in my hallway. Ideally I'd have one of those benches but the space is quite small.

I really like these but I'm not sure they are worth it?

Anyone know of a cheaper alternative or a better idea? The space is hard to exlpain, but in the corner is a meter in a cupboard, then there is the space I want to fill and the first step to do upstairs.

Make sense? Floor is original floorboards stained mahogany and walls are cream white. Light is a large white pendant.

Thanks!

Those are not very practical are they? I think in a hall (unless it is huge) you really need to keep "stuff" to a minimum or it looks cluttered. Those trunks are too low to sit on to put your shoes on, which is really the only reason you would need to sit down in the hallway.

Do you need a storage item or just want something decorative?

I just want something decorative really but storage too is a bonus.

My hallway has a radiator cabinet and that's it at the mo. I wanted to get something like those trunks and then a funky coat peg above it which would never see a coat. More for aesthetics than practical reasons. Oh and also maybe a runner but not too sure yet about that.

It's a 3 bed house and I live by myself and I hate clutter.

How about a console table? They don't take up as much space as a sideboard or bench and they're very stylish so I'm sure it would fit in with your hall which sounds lovely. You could also put a big mirror over it which would look great but also give the appearance of the hall being bigger.

Let us know what you choose!
