chaffing with H&M linen trousers

my legs have a rash where the trousers have rubbed on the inside of my legs - I am 5f8 and 9 and a half stone - so it isn't my legs that are rubbing together it is the trousers rubbing.

I have looed at the sticking and it is rough, they have swen the inside seam down to make a double row of stiching on the outside - othersie I could stich something to the seam. The outside seam is a normal seam.

I have only worn them once - I can't wear them again it hurts

What can I do any suggestions?

hmmm - wash them?

If you can't take them back you could sew a bit of soft material over the seam. I used to do this with my sons school trousers when he was young as seams chafed on his eczema. I used to cut up a soft tee shirt and make a thin strip , about 1 inch by 6 inches and sew it in with really tiny stitches so the sewing ran parallel to the seam on each side of it . If you make sure the stitches on the good side are barely there it doesn't seem to show.

get some soft material and use iron on stuff to attach

pointydog · 06/06/2010 16:59

You got the receipt? I think they'd take them back.

coderrooo · 06/06/2010 17:37

why do you wear fattie trousers when you are so tiny

ruckyrunt · 06/06/2010 20:44

kingprawn - i would like to have sewn a piece over the seam, but the seam was sewn down onto the indside leg so nothing to to sew onto, had looked.

I took them back into the shop today and had my receit and the bag and I said that they were faulty and they got the manager to change the till over and gave me a refund straight onot my debit card - they didn't even ask me what the fault was....

i wanted them as the material was so thin and idea when hot
