Fraxel laser treatment - anyone had it?

I'm considering having Fraxel: Restore treatment for acne scarring, but have been really put off by some horror stories on the web... Has anyone here had it done? My scarring is not so bad that I'm willing to risk permanent disfigurement but it would be wonderful to improve it and feel better about my skin (and not worry about answering the door with no make-up on!).

Having seen photos of the immediate after-effects of the more hardcore Fraxel laser (Repair, rather than Restore) there is no way I'm having THAT done.

have you looked into Derma roller, it may be good for you?

Thanks, I just looked it up. I'm not sure it looks a lot less scary though!

it may work out less expensive

Almost certainly would. My health insurance may possibly cover the Fraxel though.

I know someone who has had it and she does look good.

Do you mean she's had the Dermaroller or Fraxel?

Have you asked your dermatologist about Retin a? I believe it is used to reduce scarring and has produced good results. There is quite alot of information about it on the web.

Thanks, hadn't heard of that either - looks interesting. I'll ask her about it.
