Horrible red bumps/rash on upper arms

When pg with DC2 I developed a red bumpy rash on my upper arms. 2 years later i still have it. Have seen dermatologist and he says it is v common and there is nothing you can do about it. Very fed up with it, as cannot wear sleeveless tops. Anyone else have this or know of any miracle cures?

pilaris kitosis(sp)

any urea based cream will help like flexitol

BUT

do not let this put you off wearing sleeveless tops - you will of course be self conscious but other folks don't notice

I've found the sun helps too, so do let your skin be exposed. Honestly, no one notices, and if they do, they don't say anything.

But I do feel self conscious about it -
do the urea creams actually work|?

yes there have been many successes on here from using urea-based products

honestly, dont let it get in the way of living

we use omega 3 and vit b supplements and they have really helped

i have this too on the backs of my arms and agree that you don't see it nearly as much with a tan. i don't think people notice it that much - who goes round looking at the backs of people's arms?

Posts on this come up pretty regularly! I have had success with DermaDoctor KP Duty (the KP is for keratosis pilaris). It has some glycolic acid in it as well which helps with exfoliation.
