... and on the subject of pants, when do you wear pretty pants?

(this is the second pants thread I have started today. I shall get a reputation as a wierd pants troll. Which I am not. Honest. )

I want to buy pretty pants, but the only pants that work under my clothes are black, white or nude plain boy shorts. My pants drawer is very dull. I went out to buy nice pants today but much as I would quite like kitch aqua y-fronts, and frilly frou frou pants, and lacey scraps, the reality is that they would get shoved to the back of the drawer while I wore my practical cotton no-frills pants.

(I have the same problem with bras - frills and bows would be lovely but practically you just need a seamless underwire in a useful colour under your clothes.)

Even if you buy nice ones they soon go grey and saggy in the wash, my choice 70% black plain, 10% white plain, 10% skintone plain and 10% fancy.

Gosh you must have a lot of pants!

I hate pants. My bum wasn't designed for them.

I can cope with boy shorts if needs must, but from fairly expensive ones to just about every shop possible I have to 'lose' them in about an hour.
Perhaps I should have a tattoo done to give the impression that I am wearing them..

sloggi all the way here

i divide my pants up!

i have everyday pants - which are cotton minis or boy shorts - but my pants and bra HAVE to match.

then ive got "special" pants - the lacy variety which i wear less often - (again with matching bras - i have a thing about my undies matching!)

then ive got my only for the bedroom pants/undies. (which get less wear!)

I have loads of pairs - but can't ever find what I want because so much of my underwear drawer is black!

I went shopping last weekend with this problem in mind and went to La Senza for their '5 for £12' or whatever it is, theyve got lots of pretty patterned pants but in the style of something more sensible.
