Once upon a time (in those heady size 10 years many moons ago) I could buy any make, as long as they were 35/36" leg length. Fast forward to now and my shape - I just can't find a pair of (reasonably priced) jeans that suit me but also fit me.

I wonder if these are any good?

saythatagain · 03/06/2010 13:54

Anything a tad closer to home?

Top shop, Dorothy Perkins. Next Tall.....all reasoinable.

aquavit · 03/06/2010 16:06

I've had success in M&S (Long length) recently but they change them all the time (even though the labels stay the same) so worth trying on and maybe buying two pairs if they fit. (Was a bit gutted that I failed to do that and then the lovely all cotton ones changed to include nasty stretch...)

I am only 5'10" but the ones I got feel almost too long on me so they might have something that works for you.

duckyfuzz · 03/06/2010 21:08

gap curvy are a great fit and come in longer length

wineismysaviour · 03/06/2010 21:17

Long tall sally??

wineismysaviour · 03/06/2010 21:17

ooh and Next Xlong..

BessieBoots · 03/06/2010 21:18

You're exactly my height, and my size.

Amazonian, I call it.

Next is good for me, but always with a belt.

saythatagain · 04/06/2010 10:24

I'll take a look at M&S, Dorothy P's etc. With Long Tall Sally I find that their 14's are too tight & the 16's are too big.
Another problem is the gussett-thing...when you're tall everything is taller iyswim! I get jeans not sitting on where they should be! I do like the term Amazonian though Bessie Boots!

Miss Selfridge are OK. I'd normally not touch the place with a bargepole being an old gimmer but I am the same height and more or less the same size and they fit me OK.

GeorgiesGirl · 04/06/2010 10:31

7 for all mankind seem to be very long and they often have them in TKMaxx if you can get to one.

saythatagain · 04/06/2010 10:32

Yes Orm - being of 42 years in the age dept the thought of venturing into Miss Selfridge fills me dread; but if it means getting a decent pair of slacks minus a muffin top, camel foot or builders botty I'll give it a whirl.

french connection are great for tall and curvy

lots here and usually a better choice in the bigger branches.

crumpette · 04/06/2010 10:41

these would be great, they ship to the UK. A size 10 is a 27 so I think a 30 would be fine... they have a magical bum lifting effect

saythatagain · 04/06/2010 11:02

crumpette: on the back of you writing that, I've ordered a pair of those jeans .
Tres, tres exciting!
